Bolat was born in Ankara in 1972. In 2013, Bolat started wood carving as a hobby in a small workshop in the gendarmerie guesthouse, and he improved his skills through his own efforts, without receiving any formal training. Between 2014 and 2017, as a master instructor at the Directorate of Public Education in the workshop he established under the coordination of Bingöl Youth Governate, he trained many women. Bolat, who opened four exhibitions in the same years and got his and his students’ artworks hung inside institutional buildings, made his art public in his workplace in Denizli Merkezefendi in 2017. Bolat, who mainly creates personalised designs and products on wood with fretsaw, prepares special designs for institutions such as district governorships and municipalities.
