Born in 1960 in Konya Karapınar, Yaman took an interest to wood carving while working in the cloths manufacturing sector. After retirement, Yaman started to spend more time on wood carving and fret sawing in his own workshop. In addition to playing the mandolin and accordion, he has also been playing ney and lute for the last ten years.
