Ayşe Hümeyra Eken was born in 1956 in Kayseri. Eken, who worked as a self-employed lawyer, started her studies in the field of illumination with Ayten Pelit. Eken also took illumination classes from Nilgün Gencer and her works had been exhibited in many joint exhibitions.
