Ebru Bozkurt was born in Istanbul in 1974. She began working in the field of traditional arts in 2005. She studied illumination (tezhip) with Elif Göker. In addition to tezhip, she has worked in other traditional arts such as calligraphy, marbling (ebru), and engraving, and holds various certifications approved by the Ministry of National Education. Her artistic practice also includes oil painting, ceramics, tiles, glass painting, woodworking, soap and candle making. She participated in various exhibitions, including the 2017 Graduation Exhibition of Avcılar Public Education Tezhip Course and the 2024 exhibition at Avcılar Barış Manço Cultural Center. She continues her artistic production at her atelier located in Süleymanpaşa, Tekirdağ. Among her students is Burcu Bozkurt. She received her associate degree in Traditional Handicrafts from Namık Kemal University in Tekirdağ.
