Meral Erdoğmuş born in 1965 in Eskişehir, she is a high school graduate. The artist was introduced to illumination (tezhip) and miniature arts in 1983 through the painter Ahmet Yakupoğlu and took her first lessons in these fields. In 2002, she attended ceramics courses at Kütahya Public Education Center, and in 2004, she completed marbling (ebru) courses at the Directorate of Culture, earning certificates in both. Starting in 2009, she participated in illumination training for three years at the Mehmet Dumlu Art Center, and also attended illumination workshop courses at Istanbul University for five years.

In 2021, she took part in UNESCO domestic and international group exhibitions, contributed to Kütahya’s inclusion in the UNESCO Creative Cities Network, and received recognition for this achievement. Her works have been featured in seven books. She currently works as a TÜBİTAK Project Supervisor and workshop instructor at Bilsem Schools. One of her works is exhibited at the Amasya Şeyh Hamdullah Calligraphy Museum. She offers marbling and illumination lessons in Kütahya and has participated in over 40 domestic and international exhibitions. A mother of two sons, the artist believes that creativity, color, and love are hidden within art.
