Sariye Koca was born in 1961 in Bayburt. She is a graduate of Trakya University Architecture Department and Anadolu University Economics Department. She received training on illumination, katı’, marbling, miniature and flower painting at GESMEK courses. She started receiving illumination training from Abdullah Aydemir in 2006, and continued with Serap Bostancı Tuluk. After four years of training with Ümmü Gülsüm Terzi, she received her license in 2012. Koca received marbling training from Gülseher Kahraman for five years, starting from 2005, and has been taking katı’ classes from Ayşe Kiraz since 2012. She continues her miniature training with Ümmü Gülsüm Terzi. Koca has participated in many group exhibitions in Turkey.
