In 2016, Dereli graduated from Dokuz Eylül University (DEU) Faculty of Fine Arts as valedictorian, and her graduation project received the Z Report Illumination Branch Best Graduation Project Award. Dereli, who completed her master’s degree at DEU Institute of Fine Arts (GSE) Art and Design Department in 2018, started to work as a lecturer at Sinop University Faculty of Fine Arts and Design in 2019. The artworks of Dereli, who won the second prize in the Fairy Tale Illustration Competition held by Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Culture and Tourism in 2017, took part in national, international and juried exhibitions. Dereli continues her PhD in art education at DEÜGSE with a thesis on the current situation of miniature, which she started in 2020.
