Sever graduated from Dokuz Eylül University (DEU) Fine Arts Faculty, Department of Traditional Turkish Arts, Illumination Department as the valedictorian in 2002 with a thesis titled Izmir Millî Kütüphanesindeki El Yazmalarının Tahribat Durumları (The Destruction Status of Manuscripts in Izmir National Library), and from the DEU Fine Arts Institute (GSE) Traditional Turkish Arts Department in 2004 with a thesis titled Istanbul Türk-Islam Sanatları Müzesi El Yazmaları Koleksiyonu'ndaki Madalyonlu Zahriye Sayfaları Tezhipleri (The Medallion Zahriye Page Illumination Analysis of Qurans From the Turkish and Islamic Arts Museum). In 2020, he completed her art proficiency training at DEU GSE with a thesis titled Nîsâbûrî'nin (Sa'lebî) 'Kısas-I Enbiyâ' Adlı Eserindeki Minyatürlerde Melek Figürü ve Özgün Tasarımlar (The Angel Figure in the Illustrations of Nîsâbûrî's (Sa'lebî) Qisas Al-Anbiya and Unique Designs) to receive her doctorate degree. Sever, who has written academic articles on miniature art and presented papers at scientific events, has opened 10 solo and 16 group illumination-miniature-marbling exhibitions to date, participated in nearly 30 group exhibitions and organized 3 marbling workshops. Sever continues to serve as faculty secretary at Izmir Democracy University Faculty of Fine Arts, and teaches courses on “Transition to University Life”, “Social Responsibility Projects”, “Traditional Turkish Handicrafts”, “Turkish Art History” and “Art and Aesthetics” at various faculties.
