Born in Kütahya, Öden graduated from Anadolu University Business Administration Department and Kütahya Dumlupınar University Traditional Handicrafts Department. Öden started her training in illumination and miniature art with Ahmet Yakupoğlu, took illumination and miniature courses from Nesrin Şarlıgil, a student of Nusret Çolpan, through a master-apprentice relationship, and took illumination courses from Nazan Berbercioğlu at Klasik Sanatlar Vakfı  (Classical Arts Foundation). Öden, who continued her miniature training with Arya Kamalı and took part in the 101 Kemeraltı Project with her work Yeni Şark Hamamı (New Oriental Bath), continues to work in her workshop at Kütahya Culture and Art Association (KÜSAD) and trains students.
