Ayşegül Güngören was born in 1968 in İzmir, Turkey. She graduated from the İzmir Institute of Advanced Vocational Studies in 2018, specializing in Ceramic and Glass Technologies. Beginning her journey in ceramics in 2011, she enhanced her skills under the mentorship of Dilek Sekülü. Since 2017, she has been continuing her artistic production at her own studio under the name “Ayşegül’ceRamik.” In addition to her exhibitions and workshops, she teaches ceramics to children during the summer season at EÇEV (Aegean Contemporary Education Foundation). In 2025, she was honored with the title of Intangible Cultural Heritage Bearer by the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Culture and Tourism. She currently continues her work in her studio located in Karabağlar, İzmir.
