Born in Ankara in 1965, Galatalı graduated from Boğaziçi University, Department of Business Administration in 1987. After working in the private sector, she retired and started making miniature ceramics. Galatalı, whose interview was published in the American Dollhouse Miniatures magazine, continues to produce in her atelier in her own home and to make efforts to promote miniature ceramics in Turkey.
