Born in Izmir in 1976, Tekin studied both at Dokuz Eylül University (DEU), Department of Sales Management and at Anadolu University, Department of International Relations. In 2019, Tekin graduated from DEU Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Traditional Turkish Arts as the valedictorian of the department salutatorian of the faculty, and completed her master’s degree at DEU Institute of Fine Arts, Department of Traditional Turkish Arts. Tekin, who participated in many exhibitions and competitions, and whose papers in the field of traditional Turkish arts were published in international symposiums, received the title of tile artist from the Reublic of Türkiye Ministry of Culture and Tourism in 2022. Tekin does contemporary experiments by making designs with figurative and floral decorations of traditional Turkish ceramics.
