Eda Özcan Yıldırım was born in Istanbul in 1982. She graduated in 2002 from Uludağ University, İznik Vocational School, Department of Conservation and Restoration of Movable Cultural Assets. In 2003, she founded Lâlezar Art Studio in İznik, where she began her ceramic tile production and exhibited her works at Süleyman Pasha Madrasa in 2021. Between 2012 and 2015, she participated in the restoration of several historic buildings in Istanbul. From 2019 to 2024, she completed her undergraduate studies in the Department of Traditional Turkish Arts at Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakıf University, specializing in ceramic tile art with illumination (tezhip) as a minor. During her education, she also attended courses on ceramic and glass techniques in Bursa. She took part in tile restoration and conservation works in prominent historical monuments such as the Library of Sultan Ahmed III at Topkapı Palace, the Library of Sultan Mahmud I in Hagia Sophia, and the Tomb of Hatice Turhan Sultan. In 2023, she began working as a design consultant at the Beylerbeyi Sabancı Institute of Advanced Crafts in the Ceramic and Tile Workshop. She currently continues her ceramic and tile art practice at her workshop in İznik.
