Işıkhan graduated from Dokuz Eylül University (DEU) Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Traditional Turkish Handicrafts, Tile Production and Tile Restoration Department in 1994 and became a research assistant in the same department in 1996. Işıkhan completed her master’s degree at DEU Institute of Social Sciences in 1998, and got her PhD proficiency at DEU Institute of Fine Arts in 2008. She was appointed as a lecturer in 2011, assistant professor in 2013 and became an associate professor in 2019. Işıkhan, who has held five solo exhibitions, participated in many group exhibitions and has two national and one international award, mainly uses colored slip and underglaze techniques in her artworks.
