Kıran was born in 1971 in Kırşehir. After graduating from high school, Kıran received two years of training at Kırşehir Public Education Centre Clothing Department, where she also started working as a master instructor in 1990. She worked as a master in many large companies and fashion houses as well. Kıran got acquainted with traditional rag doll making in her childhood thanks to her grandmother. She combined rag doll making with traditional clothes that she got familiar with through the folklore dances she was interested in in her youth. Hence, the rag dolls she made by hand are dressed in traditional Anatolian clothes. Kıran, a master modelist who retired in 2019, gives private courses on clothing pattern making and sewing. Kıran lives in the Karşıyaka district of Izmir, is married and has two children.
