Kübra Karakaya was born in 1988 in Kocaeli. Karakaya, who started her marbling training with Uğur Taşatan at Turkish Islamic Arts Library in 2012, and her illumination training with Hakan Dağlı at Küçükçekmece Municipality Arts Academy in 2015, received her license from Uğur Taştan and Alparslan Babaoğlu in May 2016. Her works were exhibited in the exhibition named “Following the Footsteps of the Masters”, and in the exhibition named “Küçükçekmece Municipality International Traditional Art Meetings” (Meşk VII) in 2015. She won an exhibition prize in 18^th State Turkish Ornament Arts Marbling Competition.
