Özlem Zeyrek Özçay was born in 1974 in Kütahya, Turkey. She graduated from Selçuk University, Department of Field Crops in 1997. She worked for many years in the private sector as an agricultural engineer. In 2016, she was introduced to the art of filografi (string art) and received training from Pınar Telli. Since then, she has been actively practicing this art at the Kütahya City Council Culture and Art Center, where she continues her work with great passion. Between 2017 and 2024, she participated in various group exhibitions including the Ahmet Yakupoğlu Memorial Exhibition, International Women’s Day Exhibition, and the Turkish-Hungarian Friendship Exhibition. She continues her artistic activities in Kütahya, working from her personal studio.
