Duygu Kırkıcı was born in Balıkesir in 1963. She is a graduate of Anadolu University Business Administration Department. Kırkıcı took marbling classes from Sadrettin Özçimi and Banu Arığ at the Applied Turkish-Islamic Arts Library between 2007-2011. She received her marbling license from Banu Arığ in 2015. Kırkıcı won exhibition prize in The Capital of Culture Istanbul Competition in 2008-2009 and in Mustafa Esat Düzgünman Competition in 2009-2010.
