Gülçin Anmaç was born in 1968. She is a graduate of Istanbul University Faculty of Letters Department of Social Anthropology. She completed Kadir Has University Preservation of Cultural Assets Graduate Program with her thesis themed “Preservation of Our Intangible Cultural Heritage”. Anmaç studied illumination and miniature with Cahide Keskiner and completed the Traditional Turkish Decorative Arts Course of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. She continued her miniature studies with Nusret Çolpan and was approved as an “Intangible Cultural Heritage Carrier and Traditional Turkish Handicrafts Artist” by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in 2009. Anmaç participated in hundreds of exhibitions and international art festivals both at home and abroad; her works were published in more than fifty books. She made miniature works and pattern designs for various magazine, book, warrant, brochure, award, jewelry, object, tile, large sized wall tile panel, animation, documentary projects and continues her works in these fields. Anmaç won the “12éme Recontre des Plasticiennses Autodidact” Organization Honor Award in Tunisia and “ESKADER” Association Culture and Art Award in miniature branch. She still gives classes at the Classical Turkish Arts Center, Üsküdar Municipality Balaban Lodge Culture House, Bahariye Art Workshops and Turkey Directorate of Religious Affairs Woman Family and Youth Center (TDV KAGEM); continues her artistic works at Istanbul University Continuous Education Center Classical Turkish Decorative Arts Workshop and at her own workshop. Filiz Demirbaşer, Berrin Gayhan, Remziye Pelit, Zeliha Serap Kara, Rabiye Kıranoğlu, Funda Çöllü, Şermin Yılmaz, Havva Önalan, Özge Atınç and Solmaz Selçuk are some of the students she trained.
