Büşra Keleş was born in Ankara in 1978. She is doing her graduate studies at Fatih Sultan Mehmet Foundation University Traditional Arts Illumination Department with her thesis study titled “Analysis of Kanunî (Suleiman the Magnificent) and I. Ahmet Tughras”. Keleş started taking illumination classes in 2002 in Ankara, continued her studies with Emel Türkmen in 2006 and after her six-year training, she is preparing her graduation hilya. She started working at İSMEK Art Workshop in 2009, and organized the exhibition named “The Gift of Love” in 2015 with her students from İSMEK at Istanbul Taksim Subway Exhibiton Center. Keleş founded Workshop Lâl in 2016, and continues giving classes there. Meliha Türkyılmaz, Ayşem Sümerkan, Meryem Beşpınar, Mihriban Agace and Rahime Kiyat İlhan are some of the students Keleş trained.
