Born in Izmir in 1981, Yılmaz graduated from the Department of Traditional Turkish Handicrafts at Dokuz Eylül University (DEU) in 2006 and received her pedagogical formation certificate on visual arts from the same university in 2012. Yılmaz, who participated in exhibitions in various branches with her artworks and opened exhibitions with her students every year, has been giving illumination, miniature and marbling classes in public education centres, municipalities and schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education since 2012, and continues to study for her master’s degree at Izmir Kâtip Çelebi University, Faculty of Social Sciences, Department of Art and Design.
