Temelkıran, who graduated from the Clothing Department of Kütahya Girls’ Vocational High School in 1982, worked as a clothing and handicrafts master instructor in many cities of Türkiye. Temelkıran, who received kalemişi training from Kütahya Dumlupınar University Lecturer Sezin Kara between 2015 and 2020 and dealth with the art of kalemişi for fifteen years, opened six solo exhibitions, participated in nearly a hundred group exhibitions in various cities in Türkiye, and took part in international exhibitions in Hamburg, Germany; Paris, France; and Tirana, Albania. Temelkıran, who participated in the international biennial in Jinju, Korea, to which she was invited as the UNESCO Creative Cities Network to represent Türkiye in November 2023, was selected as the most successful female artist in Kütahya in March 2024. Temelkıran continues to teach traditional kalemişi art as a clothing and handicrafts master instructor in the workshops she organizes at the Kütahya Belediyesi UNESCO Yaratıcı Şehirler Ağı Deneyimleme Konağı and the Kültür ve Sanat Derneği (KÜSAD).
