Enis Ergün was born in Eminönü/Istanbul in 1985. He received training from the Karagöz and puppet artist Alpay Ekler and Tacettin Diker through a master-apprentice relationship. Ergün is still the Chairman of the Karagöz Association. He worked as the general secretary of the Istanbul Branch of the International Puppet and Karagöz Association (UNIMA) for a period. The student Ergün trained is Adil Kıdıl.
