 Semra Güler was born in Bursa in 1982. She graduated from Uludağ University Department of Art History in 2004, and completed her graduate studies at the Islamic History and Arts Program in 2011. She completed her doctorate in 2017, and currently works as an instructor at Kütahya Dumlupınar University Faculty of Theology. Güler started studying ruq’ah, thuluth, naskh with Khattat Mahmut Şahin in 2009, and received her license in 2014. She started taking ta’liq classes from Mahmut Şahin in 2015, and continues her khatt studies as a member of Bursa Bab-ı Nun Association of Traditional Turkish Arts and Culture.
