Vahide Karababa was born in 1978. She is a graduate of Trakya University Department of Computer Technologies and Programming. Karababa started studying khatt with Hüseyin Kutlu in 1996. She received her khatt, ta’liq and illumination licenses in 2007 from Ali Rıza Özcan, and her thuluth and naksh licenses in 2014. Karababa, who participated in many group exhibitions both at home and abroad, continues attending Hüseyin Kutlu’s specialization classes at BİKSAD. She has been serving as Ali Rıza Özcan’s khatt assistant at the Applied Turkish-Islamic Arts Library since 2012.
