Can was born in 1968 in the Yatağan neighbourhood of the Serinhisar district of Denizli. After graduating from elementary school, Can stepped into the profession by working as an apprentice to his father and opened his own business in 1990 where he manufactured pocket knives, knives and swords. Can, who participated in Altın Eller Etnospor Fuarları (Ethnosport Fairs), has the title of Intangible Cultural Heritage Bearer awarded by the General Directorate of Living Heritage and Cultural Activities of Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Can retired in 2020, but continues to produce artworks.
