Born in Muğla in 1972, he ranked fourth among 500 applicants in the entrance exam for the Theatre Department of Denizli Municipality Conservatory in 1986. He completed his theatre education under the guidance of Mahir Canova, the founder of the State Conservatory Theatre Department. He also took lessons from renowned theatre masters such as Zeki Alasya and Nejat Uygur, benefiting greatly from their expertise.

He began his theatre career in 1986 and has since trained hundreds of students in official and independent theatre groups. He worked as an actor and director in both adult and children’s plays. In 1994, he met Karagöz master and writer Hayali Ünver Oral, which sparked his interest in shadow plays. Since then, he has organized Karagöz-Hacivat performances in various parts of the country. In 2005, he founded the Denizli Stage Arts Association (DEMSAD) and assumed the role of president. Since 2015, he has been organizing and performing children’s plays and Hacivat-Karagöz shadow plays every week at the Pocket Theatre affiliated with the association.
