Zühal Erol was born in 1992 in Bursa, Turkey. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from Istanbul University in 2018. She began her interest in stone art in 2001 and has developed her skills through personal exploration, without formal apprenticeship. Erol continues her artistic production in her studio in Bursa and organizes one-day workshops to introduce the art to new learners. In 2025, she participated in the 2nd Bursa International Mosaic Festival. She currently lives and works in the Nilüfer district of Bursa.
