Gökhan Akı was born in 1982. He received his master’s degree from Dicle University, Department of Mechanical Engineering, in 2008. He began working in the art of prayer bead making (tespih) in 2001 and trained under master artisan Cem Aral. He continues his work independently in this field. In 2024, he participated in the Belgium Prayer Beads Fair. He currently resides in Arnavutköy, Istanbul, and works as a manager in the private sector.
