Born in Izmir in 1967, Çağlar first began working at clothing sector by sewing at home, and later started to do pico stitching at home. Between 2000 and 2002, Çağlar worked with authentic clothing fashion designer Aybüke Baran and adapted traditional Turkish handicrafts that come out of chests to contemporary clothing by combining them with antique hand stitchings. Çağlar brings the past clothing culture to the present day by making dresses and different designs from göynek (a type of loose shirt), and opened an exhibition on authentic clothing at Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Fine Arts in 2011. Between 2016 and 2019, Çağlar, who participated in various festivals with her shirt designs and organised fashion shows, brings together women artists dealing with Turkish handicrafts in the museum in Bademler Sanat Köyü (Bademler Art Village), where she works as a store manager, and offers the handicrafts for sale. Çağlar, who takes an active role in the museum workshops, works as an instructor in the Göynek Design Workshop and continues designing.
