Born in Izmir, Güçlü graduated from Dokuz Eylül University (DEU) Faculty of Fine Arts, Traditional Turkish Handicrafts Illumination Department in 1996 and from DEU Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Traditional Turkish Handicrafts Master’s programme in 1999. Güçlü completed her internship in Istanbul in 1994 with Assist. Prof. Dr. Ali Rıza Özcan and her illumination training under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ayşe Üstün. She gives illumination training in various courses and presents her works prepared with her original designs in her solo exhibitions.
