Zehra Pala was born in Erzurum, Turkey. She graduated with honors in 2009 from Atatürk University, Vocational School of Social Sciences, Handicrafts Program. In 2012, she completed her undergraduate degree as the top graduate of the Department of Traditional Turkish Arts and the second-highest ranking graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Atatürk University. In 2014, she began her academic career as a Research Assistant at Selçuk University, Faculty of Art and Design. She earned her master’s degree in Traditional Turkish Arts from Selçuk University in 2015, and completed her PhD with honors in the Department of Design at the Graduate School of Social Sciences in 2021. In 2022, she was appointed as Assistant Professor at Kocaeli University, Faculty of Fine Arts, where she continues her academic work. Zehra Pala has received awards for her works, held four solo exhibitions, participated in numerous national and international group exhibitions, and has published several academic papers.
