Seçkin Tezkorkut was born in Sakarya in 1959. She is a graduate of Sakarya University Fine Arts Faculty Illumination Design Department. Tezkorkut took classes from Ayşe Üstün and Mehmet Memiş, and participated in various group exhibitions both at home and abroad. She has been holding group exhibitions with her students since 2000. Some of the students Tezkorkut trained are Esra Çakar, Özge Öz, Sena Muti, Zuhal Canca and Sümeyye Gölcük.
