Özdemir graduated from Ege University Faculty of Dentistry in 1981 and worked as a dentist at the police schools affiliated with the General Directorate of Security before retiring. Özdemir, who started working on the art of marbling in 2002, received marbling training from Istem Çoşkunsu in 2004 and modern marbling training from Ilker Selimler in 2019. Özdemir, who also took illumination and miniature courses from Yeşim Zileyaz, Fatma Aktaş, Yasemin Ataker and Ayşe Nur Fidan between 2009 and 2019, participated in many group exhibitions and opened marbling, miniature and illumination exhibitions. Özdemir, who lives in Izmir Foça, contributes to the Efe miniatures exhibition project of her teacher Arya Kamalı.
