Serpil Budak was born in 1960 in Pınarbaşı, Kayseri. She worked for many years as a master tailor in various fashion houses in Istanbul before retiring. After her retirement, she began focusing on felt art. In order to develop her skills in this field, she started receiving training in 2016 from master instructor Serpil Al at the Sarıyer Municipality Directorate of Culture, and continued her education there until 2024. Between 2016 and 2024, she participated in group exhibitions organized by the Sarıyer Municipality Directorate of Culture. From 2017 to 2024, she also took part in various events and bazaars organized by the International Women’s Solidarity Association and the Sarıyer Women Entrepreneurs Cooperative. Budak continues her artistic production in felt art and is an active member of the Sarıyer Women Entrepreneurs Cooperative, where she remains involved in creative and community-based initiatives.
