Aydın Kızılyar was born in Kirkuk, Iraq in 1981. He graduated from Electronics Department of Vocational High School. In 1998, he started to take lessons from Eyüp Halil in the branches of Rik’a Nesih and Sülüs in Kirkuk. He came to Istanbul in 2004 and started to practice the naskh script from Mehmet Özçay and the sulus script from Osman Özçay. He also learned the techniques of paper sizing, murakka making, printing preparation and colour separation from Mehmet Özçay. In 2010, he participated in the International Mushaf Meeting organized by the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Culture, Youth and Social Development in Dubai, and within the scope of this event he wrote the 29th Juz (part) of the Quran and also wrote the 17th Juz in 2011. In 2014, he received his license in the Nesih branch from Mehmet Özçay. The artist, who participated in exhibitions and activities from many countries at home and abroad, still continues his calligraphy works.
