Güler Çalin was born in Germany in 1971. She is a graduate of Selçuk University Department of German Language and Literature. She started doing khatt in 2009 at İSMEK with Aziz Tekiner. She took thuluth and naskh classes from Ayten Tiryaki in 2012. She received her license on “Thuluth Naskh” scripts in the Charity Exhibition held by Hasan Çelebi's students in 2015 at Dolmabahçe Art Gallery. In 2016, she took part in Çamlıca Mosque Mushaf Project, led by Hasan Çelebi. Çalin continues her works with Ahmet Bursalı in Üsküdar.
