Kasım Kara was born in Ankara in 1983. He is a graduate of Selçuk University Fine Arts Faculty. He studied ruq’ah script with Fatih Özkafa, thuluth and naskh with Fevzi Günüç, and received his license from Hüseyin Kutlu in 2015. He writes works in jali thuluth and thuluth styles according to the classical understanding. Kara participated in various exhibitions in Turkey. He also did a thesis study titled ‘Use of Scriptures on Bursa Selâtin Mosque’s Altars (also called ‘mihrab’)’.
