 Ömer Faruk Özoğul was born in Erzurum in 1968. He is a graduate of Atatürk University Kazım Karabekir Education Faculty Painting-Craft Department. Özoğul learnt the thuluth-naskh script by corresponding with Davud Bektaş between 2000-2002, and held various personal and group exhibitions both at home and abroad. He also won many awards.
