Şeyma Akyüz İsmailoğlu was born in Istanbul in 1985. She started her khatt studies with Yılmaz Turan, studied jali thuluth and thuluth with Davut Bektaş and received her license from Bektaş in 2014. İsmailoğlu started her illumination studies with Leyla Arlı and continued with Hatice Aksu. She participated in various group exhibitions.
