Ilkay, who graduated from Kadıköy Vocational High School Handicrafts Department, focused on the art of traditional Turkish tiles and ceramics. She attended the workshops of, and was inspired by the works of Prof. Dr. Zehra Çobanlı, Prof. Dr. Aydan Birdevrim and Jale Yılmabaşar. Ilkay creates works with a passion for ceramic clay, and continues her art studies with Çimen Akat at Bodrum Public Education Center.
