Ayşen Beril Altuğ was born in 1968 in Gölcük. She completed her associate degree in Department of Labor Economics and Industrial Relations of Gazi University in Ankara and her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration Department. After receiving graphic and web design training, she completed her tile training after studying with Güven Kesova for four years at İSMEK Bağlarbaşı Turkish Islamic Arts Center in 2012. Altuğ, who took basic art classes from Savaş Cevik, and tile classes from Melek Iyem and H. Şeyma Yençeri Çelik, and classes on glass sanding techniques from Hakan Yildirim, is the owner of the brand "Çini Fikirler (Tile Ideas)” and the content manager of the website that publishes about tile art.
