Emine Nevin Acar was born in Istanbul in 1958. She took marbling classes from Çiğdem Ertem and Yasemin Acar; tile classes from Gülen Kesova and ceramics classes from Elif Acar, Elif Kuşçul and Yeşim Us. She applies glazed tile (original name of the technique is “sır altı”) patterns on the objects she made. Acar continues her ceramics studies at Beylerbeyi Maturation Institute.
