Emsele Bal was born in Isparta in 1983. She graduated from Sakarya University Institute of Social Sciences Graduate Program in Traditional Turkish Arts, and continues her education in Yildiz Technical University Art and Design PhD Program. Bal received training from Mehmet Gürsoy (Kütahya İznik Tile) and Mehmet Koçer (Kütahya Gold Tile), and produced new designs in classical understanding of tile art. She participated in group exhibitions both at home and abroad and has been giving tile classes in the Traditional Turkish Arts Center of Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality for the last two years.
