Kifayet Özkul was born in Sivas in 1973. In 1996, she graduated from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University (MSFAU) Fine Arts Faculty Traditional Handicrafts Department, ranking first in her class. She continues her graduate studies at MSFAU Old Tile Restorations Department, and has been working as an instructor at Istanbul University Technical Sciences Vocation School Handicrafts Department Ceramics Glass Tile-making Department since 2010. Özkul participated in many personal and group exhibitions, seminars and projects both at home and abroad. She also gave marbling and tile classes. She has a Ministry of Culture and Tourism Artist Presentation Card in tile branch. Along with her traditional tile works, Özkul developed her own style by creating designs using single colored tulip and rumi motifs and has been applying these as tiles.
