Sözkesen was born in Ordu in 1987. She graduated from Kütahya Dumlupınar University Kütahya Vocational School Tile Embroidery Department in 2009 and from Süleyman Demirel University Fine Arts Faculty Traditional Turkish Arts Department in 2021. Sözkesen is studying for her master’s degree at Dokuz Eylül University Fine Arts Institute Traditional Turkish Arts Tile Department.
