Günay was born in 1976 in Mersin. She graduated from Çukurova University, Department of Chemistry, and she received her training and master trainer certificate at Uludağ University, Iznik Vocational School, Tile Ceramics and Glass Department. She still continues to work in the field of tile art and ceramics.
