Şebnem Tuna was born in Bursa in 1974. She is a graduate of Uludağ University Painting Department and Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Çan Vocational School Handicrafts Department Ceramic Glass and Tile-making Program. She received her tile training from Turgut Tuna. Some of the students Tuna trained are Ali Ömürlü, Gülcan Güngör, Sermin Sürer, Müge Çakır and Damla Sünerin.
