Kara, who graduated from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Traditional Turkish Arts in 2001, completed her master’s degree at Prof. Dr. Sitare Turan’s workshop at the same university in 2005. Kara, who was inspired by Prof. Dr. Sitare Turan, Mehmet Koçer, Mehmet Gürsoy, Ismail Yiğit and Prof. Dr. Zehra Çobanlı in her understanding of art that absorbs tradition, organised many national and international conferences, group exhibitions, panels and seminars. Kara has articles and papers published in national and international symposiums, she has been working as a lecturer at Dumlupınar University (DPU) Kütahya Vocational School of Fine Arts since 2002, and has also been working as the Deputy Director of DPU Çini-Seramik Araştırma Merkezi (DPU Tile and Ceramic Research Centre).
