Born in Izmir in 1973, Alkan completed her primary and secondary education in Izmir and graduated from the Ceramics Department of Ege University in 1995. Having worked in various factories and art workshops, Alkan creates both artistic and commercial designs in her own workshop, which she founded in 2000.
